Carrier Lock/No Sim Restrictions

Some mobile carriers lock phones so they can only be used on their service. If you would like to unlock your device to be used with another carrier i.e. a phone from AT&T you would like to use with Verizon, you would need to contact your current carrier to get your phone unlocked.

If this options says “no sim restrictions” instead of “carrier lock” then your phone is unlocked and free to use with any carrier.

Note: some phone models may not be able to be activated with some carriers regardless of unlock status.
