Screenshot and Screen Recorder

ScreenShots

Show toolbar after capturing

This will show additional options after taking a screenshot such as:

  • Scroll to capture more of the screen
  • Crop to draw on the screenshot
  • Add tags to the screenshot
  • Share the screenshot
Delete after sharing from toolbar

If you don’t want to accumulate screenshots that you’ll most likely only use to share with someone once you can turn on this setting to delete the screen shot right after it’s shared. This will make sure that your photo storage doesn’t fill up with useless content that you have to take time to go back and delete. If you generally need you’re screenshots then maybe keep this setting off.

Hide status and navigation bars

This creates a more immersive experience so you can use more of the display space after screenshotting or screen recording without the status and navigation bars in the way.

Format

From here you can choose whether the photo format is JPG or PNG. with JPG there is less data being used to store the photo because its a smaller size (in Gigabytes not a smaller photo). PNG on the other hand will maintain the quality of the photo across all devices no matter how often the photo is shared, downloaded, and opened. You want to use PNG to conserve the quality of the photo if you are sending photos for modeling, photography, graphic design etc. For everything else screenshots with JPG format will suffice.

Screen Recorder

Sound

From here you can choose:

  • None – This will only record what is on the screen without any sound
  • Media – This will record video of what is on the screen and any sound that the phones media makes (videos with sound, tap sounds, etc.)
  • Media and mic – With this feature on you can record your screen with any sounds coming from the device and you can also utilize the microphone if you want to add your voice while screen recording
Video quality

More pixels equates to clearer and more detailed video quality. If you need your screen recordings to be as clear and professional as possible you want to choose 1080p. How the video is viewed is important too. If you are viewing content closer to the screen you want higher pixels if the content will be viewed from farther away you can get away with lower pixels.

Selfie video size

This setting adjust the size of the pop up window while you are taking a selfie. Adjust the bar underneath this setting as needed.

Show taps and touches

Small dots will appear in the screen recording video wherever you touch the phone. This can be helpful if you want to send someone directions on where to navigate through your phone or a website.

Show Contacts When Sharing Content

When you want to share something your phone will show you a list of contacts that you interact with the most on your screen.

Video Call Effects

From this setting you can change the background by adding colors and images in video calling apps such as What App, Zoom, or Google Meet.
