Customizing Display Settings On iPhone For Better Vision

If you have vision problems, you can adjust the display settings on your iPhone to make the screen easier to see. Here’s how:

  1. Access Display & Text Size Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size.

  2. Adjust Settings From there, you can make the following adjustments:

  • Bold Text: display characters in bold
  • Larger Text: increase font size with the Font Size slider
  • Button Shapes: underline tap-able text
  • On/Off Labels: indicate switches with “1” for on and “0” for off
  • Reduce Transparency: reduce transparency and blur on some backgrounds
  • Increase Contrast: improve contrast and legibility with color and text styling
  • Differentiate Without Color: use alternatives for items that rely on color
  • Smart Invert Colors: reverse display colors, except for images and media
  • Color Filters: apply filters, adjust intensity/hue with sliders
  • Reduce White Point: reduce intensity of bright colors
  • Auto-Brightness: automatically adjust screen brightness based on light conditions
  1. Adjust Text Size in App You can also adjust text size while using an app. To do this:
  • Open Control Center
  • Tap on the Text Icon (aA)
  • If you don’t see the Text Icon (aA), add it to Control Center by going to Settings > Control Center and selecting Text Size
  • Drag the slider up or down to increase or decrease the text size
  • To change the text size for all apps, tap on “All Apps” at the bottom of the screen

Note: Apps that support Dynamic Type, such as Settings, Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and Notes, will adjust to your preferred text size.
