Passwords & Accounts

Passwords

Underneath passwords you will see all the passwords that are saved by Google.

For security and convenience purposes this is a great feature. You will be able to set up strong and complex passwords that you don’t have to remember because they will be saved on your Google Account.

When this is set up, data will be sent to Google. It will be encrypted on the way over but they will be able to see:

  • You’re page views and taps in applications
  • Crash Logs
  • Diagnostics

Autofill Service

Autofill is a feature that fills in your personal information when required so you don’t have to continuously enter all of your information in every time you purchase something online or sign up on a website, app, etc. This will fill in personal information connected to your google account such as your name, address, payment methods, passwords etc.

If there is an Autofill service that you trust more than Google for security and privacy you can download another app through the app store. Make sure that you do enough research on the app you’re using before you download any third party autofill app. Make sure your information is encrypted and can’t be viewed by anyone but you.

Tap on autofill service to choose a service that your prefer to hold your autofill information. You will be given a few options:

  • None
    • If you don’t want Autofill on select this option.
  • Google
    • You will be using Googles Autofill Service.
  • + Add Service
    • This will give you a few options for other autofill apps.
