Live Transcribe

Live Transcribe will show speech as a text on your screen so you can participate in conversations around you more easily. This could be helpful if you have a hearing impairment because other people can speak and you can visually see it all be written down.

Options

Live Transcribe Shortcut

When you have Live Transcribe Shortcut on, you will see a shortcut bubble on the right side of your phone that allows you to toggle Live Transcribe on and off as needed.

Caption Preferences

From here you can customize caption preferences to make them easier to read. To turn on captions, turn on the switch to the right of where it says Show Captions.

Caption Size and Style

Text Size

For Text Size, you will be given a few options:

• Very Small
• Small
• Medium
• Large
• Very Large

Caption Style

For Caption Style you can choose how the captions will be displayed. You can choose from a few options or you can customize your own style.

• White On Black
• Black On White
• Yellow On Black
• Yellow On Blue
• Custom

Custom

If you choose the Custom option you will be able to customize:

• Font Family
• Text Color
• Text Opacity
• Edge Type
• Edge Color
• Background Color
• Background Opacity
• Caption Window Color
• Caption Window Opacity

Language

Choose a Language you would like your captions to be in.

Real-Time Text (RTT)

Real time text is an alternative to TTY (teletypewriter/text telephone) devices. You can use RTT (real time text) to communicate with text while on a voice call. From here you can turn on the RTT call button to always be visible. Once this setting is on you can connect a external TTY keyboard which you can then turn on TTY full, TTY HCO, and TTY VCO

• Not Visible

  • Allow incoming Real Time Text calls but hide the calling button.

• Visible During Call

  • Show the Real Time Text button during a call.

• Always Visible

  • Real Time Text button is available everywhere.
