Make a FaceTime Call

To make a FaceTime call, you will need the other persons phone number or Apple ID email address. To make a FaceTime call

• Open the FaceTime app and select New FaceTime.
• Then enter a phone number, email, or choose a contact and click on the FaceTime button.
• You can also switch to FaceTime while you’re on a call.

Create a Link to a FaceTime Call

If you want to create a link for someone, or several people to join a FaceTime call:

• Open the FaceTime App and click on Create a Link.
• Then create a name for the meeting/call and add the contact(s) you want to invite.

You can create a link even if the other person doesn’t have an iPhone. You can also send the link through email or other supported apps.

Share your Screen

This feature allows all parties on the FaceTime call to see whats on your screen so you can browse the internet together, listen to music, or watch videos together. To do this:

• While you’re on a FaceTime call, click on the Share Content button and select Share My Screen.
• To end a Screen Sharing Session, click on the Share Content Button again to stop screen sharing.
• To join a screen sharing session, click on Join Screen Sharing when it pops up on your FaceTime call.

Note: Others won’t be able to see any notifications you get or view content that requires a subscription.

Blur Background with Portrait Mode

You can Blur your background on a FaceTime call by clicking on picture in picture screen with your face in it and selecting the portrait icon to blur and unblur the background of your FaceTime Call.

Stickers, Memojis and More

When you’re on a FaceTime call you can use some fun features that everyone can play with and enjoy. When you’re on a FaceTime call, select the picture in picture with your face and in the bottom left corner of your picture in picture screen click on the effects icon. Then at the bottom you will see a panel of apps you can use to post stickers and texts to the FaceTime screen, change your face to a Memoji, in addition to other fun features. Play around with them to see what you can do.
