Samsung Pass

If you want to keep your phone and apps secure with lengthy and complex passwords for maximum security but don’t want to continuously type them in every time you want to access your profile on an app, use Samsung pay, or get into your phone, you can use Samsung pass and utilize your biometric data instead to seamlessly navigate through your phone and access apps while maintaining a high level of security.

Note: Setting and features of Samsung pass may be different depending on your phones model, software version and wireless carrier. Also, the ability to use Samsung pass with your wallet is only available on software version 9 and above.

In order to use Samsung pass you must be signed in to your Samsung Account. Also, if you haven’t already set up passwords or biometrics on your phone you can click Here for help.

  • Go to Settings > Biometrics and security>  Samsung Pass.

  • Then click  Continue and sign in with your Samsung account email and password

  • Click on Continue and set up your biometric data if you haven’t already. then choose whether you want a PatternPIN, or Password, and follow the on-screen instructions

  • Then register your fingerprint and continue with the on screen instructions, then click Done.

  • And thats it. Your biometric data can now be used with Samsung pass.

After Samsung pass you can now start using across apps and websites, store your credentials, and set up biometric access.

To use Samsung pass navigate to the internet or app on your phone and continue to the log in page where you enter your credentials. Once you sign in you will be asked if you want your log in information to be saved. Click on Remember and the next time you want to log in to your favorite app or website you just need to use your biometrics data that you set up.

Once you’ve set up your Samsung pass feature, you’ll be asked to set up your biometric data when you log into your accounts. It might be helpful to set up Autofill so your biometrics will automatically fill in your usernames and passwords. In order to do this:

  • Go to Settings > General management > Passwords and autofill

  • Then click Autofill with Samsung Pass and select Autofill with Samsung Pass]

As convenient as Samsung pass is you may decide that you no longer want to use Samsung pass. Once deleted, Samsung pass will be completely deleted and removed for your security.

  1. Go to Settings > Biometrics and security > Samsung Pass.

  2. Then click on More options (the three dots), then click Settings.

  3. Click on See all devices using Samsung Pass, then hit Remove (the three dots) which will appear next to the device you want to remove

  4. You should then see a pop up and you want to click on Remove at which point all Samsung pass data will be removed and the Samsung pass feature will be completely reset. All you have to do now is click OK and that’s it
