How to display subtitles and captions for videos on iPhone

When watching videos on a supported app, you can turn on subtitles and closed captions on your iPhone. This is useful for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as for those who want to watch videos without sound.

  1. While playing video content, click on the Quotation box icon.
  2. Choose from the list of available subtitles and captions.

  2. Turn on Closed Captions + SDH to display closed captions or subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing when available.
