Gallery

The Gallery is where you will find all of the pictures and videos that you’ve taken with your Camera App, screen shots, and other shared or downloaded pictures and videos. For Gallery App Settings, click on the link.

Pictures

Once you open the Gallery App, you will see a tab at the bottom left side of the screen that says Pictures. If you tap on this tab you will be able to scroll down and see all of the pictures and videos you’ve taken or saved and they will typically be categorized by date.

If you tap on a photo, you will see a few options for the photo at the bottom of the screen, starting from right to left you will see:

• Favorite

  • To favorite a photo tap on the Heart Icon at the bottom of the screen.

• Edit

  • If you want to edit a photo tap on the Pencil Icon at the bottom of the screen and you will have a variety of editing tools to choose from.

• Share

  • The Share Icon will be in the middle and you can share a picture, video, or weblink.

• Trash

  • The Trash Icon will allow you to delete the selected picture or video.

• More Picture Options

  • The More Options Icon (the three vertical dots) will give you these options:
    • Details
    • Remaster Picture
    • Add Portrait Effect
    • Copy To Clipboard
    • Set As Wallpaper
    • Move To SecureFolder
    • Print

Group Similar Photos

To group or ungroup similar photos, tap on the Multiple Square Icon in the top right corner of the app screen on the pictures tab. This will group similar photos and videos together. If it is red grouping is on, if it’s black grouping is off.

Search

To search for photos, tap on the Magnifying Glass Icon in the top right corner of the app screen on the pictures tab. You can search by location, date, types of photos, among other categories if you would like to find a photo or video quickly.

More Picture Options

From the picture tab, if you tap on the More Options Icon (the three vertical dots) you will see the following options:

• Edit

  • This will allow you to select individual or multiple photos or videos to edit. Once you tap on Edit, scroll through and select which photos/videos you would like to edit, then choose an option at the bottom of the screen from Share, Delete All, or More Options.

• Select All

  • You can tap on Select All, then choose an option at the bottom of the screen from Share, Delete All, or More Options.

• Create

  • After you tap on Create, you will see options to create a new Highlight Reel, Movie, GIF, or Collage.

• Start Slideshow

  • Tapping on this option will create a slideshow of all your photos.

Albums

Once you open the Gallery App, you will see a tab at the bottom left middle part of the screen that says Albums. If you tap on this tab you will be able to scroll down and see all of the photo albums you’ve created.

More Album Options

Once you’re on the Albums Tab, you will have a variety of the following options if you tap on the More Options Icon (the three vertical dots) right above the photo albums next to the search icon.

• Edit

  • This will allow you to select individual or multiple albums to edit. Once you tap on Edit, scroll through and select which albums you would like to edit, then choose an option at the bottom of the screen from Move, Share, Delete All, or More Options. If you select more than one album you can also Group them together.

• Select All

  • This will allow you to select all of the albums. Once you tap on Select All, you can choose an option at the bottom of the screen from Group, Move, Share, Delete All, or More Options.

• Sort

  • Selecting Sort will allow you to organize your albums. You Can:
    • Sort By
      • Custom Order
      • Name
      • Number Of Items
  • And you can place them in order from:
    • Ascending
    • Descending

• Create Album

  • Once you tap on Create Album, you will name your album then you can start selecting photos you want in your album.

• Create Group

  • From here you can create a group of more than one album.

• Hide or Unhide Albums

  • If you want some albums hidden or you would like to unhide albums you have previously hidden then you can hide or unhide them from here.

Stories

Once you open the Gallery App, you will see a tab at the bottom right part of the screen that says Stories. If you tap on this tab you will be able to scroll down and see all of the stories that have been created.

More Stories Options

Once you’re on the Stories Tab, you will have a variety of the following options if you tap on the More Options Icon (the three vertical dots) right above the stories next to the search icon.

• Edit

  • This will allow you to select individual or multiple stories to edit. Once you tap on Edit, scroll through and select which stories you would like to edit, then choose an option at the bottom of the screen from Rename, Pin, Delete, or More Options.

More Gallery Options

Once you open the Gallery App, you will see a tab at the bottom right part of the screen with a Hamburger Icon (looks like three horizontal lines). If you tap on this tab you will see a few of the following pages you can access:

• Videos

  • Here you will see all of the videos in your Gallery.

• Favorites

  • Any photos or videos you’ve favorited will be here. To favorite a photo or video, tap on the heart icon after you’ve selected an item in your gallery.

• Recent

  • These will be all of the recent photos or videos you’ve taken and interacted with.

• Suggestions

  • You will see a list of suggestions here that your phone thinks you should consider. You can remaster suggested photos, edit, and more.

• Location

  • Here you can view photos and videos categorized by location.

• Shared Albums

  • These will be all the albums you share with others.

• Trash

  • Once you’ve deleted a photo or video, it will appear in the trash bin unless you’ve turned the trash setting off in Gallery Settings.
