    • On your Mac model with Touch ID, go to System Preferences > Wallet & Apple Pay.
    • On your iPad, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.
  • Tap Add Card.
  • Follow the steps on the screen to add a card.
  • Verify your information with your bank or card issuer. They might ask you to provide information.

Pay with your default card on an iPhone with Face ID

  • When your default card appears, glance at iPhone to authenticate with Face ID, or enter your passcode.

  • Hold the top of your iPhone near the card reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the screen.

Pay with your default card on an iPhone with Touch ID

  • Rest your finger on Touch ID.

  • Hold the top of your iPhone near the card reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the screen.

Archive or remove passes

  • Automatically archive old passes
  • Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay, then turn on Hide Expired Passes.

To show an expired pass, scroll to the bottom of the Wallet stack, tap View Expired Passes, choose the pass, then tap Unhide.

Express Transit

With Express Transit (available in certain countries or regions), you don’t need to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, and you don’t need to wake or unlock your device or open an app.

  • If you have multiple cards for a transit network, set the default Express Transit card in Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Express Transit Card.

By default, Express Transit is turned on when you add an eligible card.

  • As you approach a fare gate or board the bus, make sure your device is turned on (it doesn’t need to be connected to the internet).

  • Hold the top of your iPhone near the middle of the ticket gate scanner until you feel a vibration.

How to update your Apple Pay contact information

  • iPhone: Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > scroll down to Transaction Defaults and update your shipping address, email, and phone number.
