Software Update

Keeping your software up to date will keep your phone running smoothly, fix bugs, add security patches, and update or ad features to your phone. You wanna make sure you check for updates periodically and/or turn automatic updates on.

To check for software updates go to Settings > Software Update to see if there’s an update.

Note: Your phone must be decently charged and connected to a Wi-Fi Network to update to the most recent version of Android’s Operating system (Samsung Phone Software).

Download And Install

You’ll wanna tap on this tab to check if there’s an update. You can then schedule a time for an update or you can install the update now if you’d like. You wanna make sure you have time for the update to download and install because some updates can take awhile. I recommend you have a good 30-60 minutes freed up where you don’t need your phone just incase.

If you’re phone’s software is up to date you’ll see a message at the top of this screen that says “Your software is up to date.”

Last Update

From here you will see when the last update was installed and if you click on this tab you will see details for the most recent update.
