Storage and memory

Storage

At the top of the screen you will see the percentage of storages you used and how many total GB of data has been used. From here you can also view every category of data in your internal phones storage including:

  • Images
  • Videos
  • Audio Files
  • Documents
  • Installation Files
  • Compressed Files
  • Apps
  • System
  • Other
  • Trash
  • Secure Folder

For more information on managing, transferring, and organizing data on your Samsung phone view the My Files app.

Trash

From the trash file you can view and permanently delete any recently deleted images, videos, files, messages, etc. If you accidentally deleted something that you didn’t mean to delete you can go to the trash in storage and recover any recently deleted data.

Note: Any items in the trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days

Duplicate Files

As suggested from the title, these are any duplicate files you may have that could take up unnecessary space on your device.

Large Files

These files are the biggest consumers of storages on your phone. If you’re looking to free up space you may want to consider deleting these files or moving them off the device on to a computer, memory card, or send them to someone else.

Memory

This will show how much Ram you’re using on your phone and how much you have left. From here you can clean up your RAM by clicking Clean Now and you can also utilize the RAM Plus feature if you need to have more apps running in the background on your phone at once and you need to cycle through apps more quickly.
