Safety and Emergency

Medical Info

In the event of an emergency, Emergency Responders may need to access your phone for medical info that could help save your life. Even if your phone is locked they will be able to access medical information that you’ve provided in your phone. Just click on the pencil icon in the top right hand corner and the information that you may want to include is:

• Medical Conditions
• Allergies
• Current Medications
• Blood Type
• Other (If there is anything mild or serious that is not listed)

Emergency Contacts

Emergency contacts are specific people that Emergency Responders may need to call in case of an emergency. Even in the event you are unresponsive Emergency Responders will still be able to access your emergency contacts. To add Emergency Contacts click on the pencil icon > Add Member > Save. You can also add a specific ringtone for emergency contacts.

Send SOS Message

With this feature you can send an SOS message to emergency contacts to let them know something is wrong.

1. To set up SOS messages, go to Settings > Safety & emergency > Send SOS messages.
2. Then turn on SOS messages at the top of the screen. Then read the information that pops up and then click Continue.
3. Then you want to click on either Create contact or Select from contacts.
4. The contacts you choose will receive the SOS messages. You can add multiple contacts if you need to.
5. Then adjust the settings as needed.

Press the side key

You can choose whether you want to send an SOS message by pressing the side key 3 or 4 times.

Auto Call

From your emergency contacts you can select someone to call automatically after your SOS messages have been set.

Attach Pictures

This feature will take and send photos with both the front and back camera after the SOS message has been sent. The purpose of this is to give some sort of evidence of the environment you’re in which in some emergency situations are not going to be perfect photos but could be the reason that your life will be saved.

Attach Audio Recording

Your phone will also record 5 Seconds of audio with the SOS message.

Wireless Emergency Alerts

These alerts will send notifications to your phone in the case of public emergencies and/or natural disasters. To see more on Wireless Emergency Alerts click Here.

Emergency Location Services

This feature will send your devices location when you contact emergency services.

Natural Disaster Alerts

This may be labeled differently based on your location depending on whether earthquakes, hurricanes or other natural disasters are common to where you are.

Silence Notifications While Driving

This will automatically turn on Do Not Disturb while you’re driving.

Emergency Mode

The Home screen will be changed to dark mode to use less battery and you will be able to use messages, contacts and emergency calls but other app access will be restricted. The purpose of this is to conserve your phones battery life in an emergency situation where you may not be able to use a charger or see people for days or weeks. This is used for dire situations, for example, you’re lost in a forest or on a deserted island, or maybe a building collapsed and you’re stuck underneath the rubble but still alive.
