Software Update

It’s ideal for the functioning of your phone and security reasons to turn on automatic updates. If you didn;t turn on automatic updates when you set up your phone, you can turn it on with these steps:

• Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates.

• Turn on Download iOS Updates and Install iOS Updates.

When a new software update is released, your iPhone will download and install the update overnight while charging and connected to Wi-Fi. You’ll be notified before an update is installed so you have time to prepare.

If you want to check to see if theres a new software update ready to install you can:

• Go to Settings > General > Software Update.

This screen will show the software version of iOS that is currently installed and if a new update is available.

If you want to turn automatic updates off (not recommended in most situations):

• Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates.
