System Update

Here is where you can see if your device has any updates, what version of Android software is currently installed, and when your phone last updated. It is highly recommended that you keep up with device software and security updates for your security, privacy, and for your device to function properly overall.

The reason you want to update your phone is because updates fix bugs/glitches, updates your phones compatibility with mobile and Wi-Fi networks, fixes holes in your phones security, and adds additional features.

Note: Updates will not be installed while you are using your phone. When you check for updates the device will usually update when your phone is connected to a charger and on Wi-Fi without being used.
